The Version One export documentation solution is based on the acclaimed DbForm output system. As well as producing custom export documentation on plain paper using laser printers, the system offers sophisticated output handling to route documents to the correct printer and paper tray automatically - dramatically cutting down on time spent changing the paper in printers and handling and collating/decollating documents.

As well as printed output, the Version One document management software solution includes options for the automated faxing and e-mailing of export documentation. Advance copies of shipping documents can be automatically faxed or e-mailed ahead to customers and forwarders. Output forms can be automatically turned into PDF format files, so that anyone can read and print them correctly. It is even possible, using DbForm, to add XML and EDI outputs to legacy accounting systems.

Invaluable exportation tool

Version One's electronic document imaging, storage and retrieval system, DbArchive, is also an invaluable software tool for organisations which export. DbArchive automatically captures, indexes and cross-references electronic copies of all export documents generated. These can then be viewed on-line across the network using just a web browser. There is even a scanning option to scan in externally generated documents, certificates, letters of credit and proofs of despatch and delivery.
