Version One is Multiple Finalist in 2010 Storage Awards

Document management and imaging software author, Version One, is a multiple finalist in the Storage Awards 2010 after reaching the final in five separate categories. This year’s award winners will be announced at a ceremony on 17 June 2010 at the Tower Guoman Hotel, London.

Version One’s Document Management Green Meter, the first document management meter of its kind, has reached the final within the “one to watch” category. Its Green Meter enables the positive environmental benefits of using Version One’s software to be more accurately tracked. In particular, the Green Meter calculates and reports on CO2 and paper savings using a range of formulae including figures obtained from The Carbon Trust (using DEFRA tables).

Version One’s DbArchive is competing for awards in three separate categories: “Value for Money” award, Archiving & Compliance Product of the year and Green Storage Product of the Year. Finally, Version One’s website, www.versionone.co.uk, is a Website of the Year finalist.

Run by Storage Magazine and now in their seventh year, The Storage Awards recognise the outstanding products and services that have made a significant contribution to the IT storage industry during 2010. The 2009 Awards saw in excess of 22,000 votes cast.
