Version One is Finalist in Three Categories of the Green IT Awards 2010

Document management and imaging software author, Version One, is a finalist in three categories of the prestigious Green IT Awards 2010. The award winners are being announced at a ceremony on 22 April 2010 (Earth Day) at London Zoo.
Version One's Document Management Green Meter has reached the final in the Document Management Product of the Year category. This Green Meter enables the positive environmental benefits of using Version One's document management and imaging software to be more accurately tracked. Version One's tree planting carbon offsetting scheme, which in addition to the Green Meter forms part of the company's Clean and Green environmental initiative, has also been shortlisted in the Best Carbon Offsetting Scheme of the Year category.
Finally, UK environmental charity, Field Studies Council (FSC), in partnership with Version One, has reached the final in the Environmental Project of the Year category (private sector under 100 employees) for its innovative document management project. FSC is anticipating cost savings in excess of £100,000 per year by using Version One's solutions to support its green agenda and improve purchase-to-pay efficiency.
Run by Green IT Magazine, The Green IT Awards (www.greenITawards.co.uk) recognise the outstanding environmental products, suppliers and projects of 2009 and highlight the companies and teams that have made significant contributions to improving the IT industry's environmental performance.
