Version One Wins Prestigious Environmental Accolade for Fourth Year Running
Document management and imaging software company, Version One, has been presented with an International Green Hero Award from independent environment group, The Green Organisation. This is the fourth year running that Version One has been awarded with this prestigious accolade in recognition of the environmental credentials of Version One’s ‘paperless office’ software and the company’s green credentials.
The Green Hero Award was presented to Version One by Professor David Bellamy during a ceremony on The Royal Yacht Britannia on 13 February 2009. Award winners from around the world were present at the glittering ceremony, which recognises and rewards positive environmental endeavour and best practice.
Lynne Munns, Version One’s General Manager, says, “Receiving yet another Green Hero award is a huge honour and we’re delighted that our software continues to support organisations’ environmental efforts. We always strive to expand and enhance our software portfolio to fulfil both business and environmental needs and so having our ongoing efforts recognised and rewarded by the Green Organisation is especially gratifying.”

Version One’s document management and imaging software creates, stores, delivers, manages and authorises documents electronically, significantly reducing organisations’ reliance on paper. As well as reducing the number of trees destroyed through paper manufacturing, this software cuts carbon emissions by eliminating the production, printing, photocopying and transport of paper. In addition to its environmental benefits, Version One’s software improves business efficiency, frees-up document storage space and provides a return-on-investment within just six months.
